Trail Report December 24, 2008 Trails are groomed!
 Dear Lisa, It's Christmas Eve December 24th 2008, and our groomer fleet is out again this morning getting the trails smooth and flat so that powder will harden into a smooth flat trail system. The PRR groomers will be taking Christmas off to be with friends and family for the day as they do every year, but will be back at it on Friday. Pittsburg received anywhere from 12" of new snow in town and up to 18 or more in the higher elivations from this last storm. All of the PRR trails are open except for a section of trail 139 that skirts 1st lake from rte 3 to River road Jct. 139. This is currently closed due to the high lake water. All of the trails have been groomed, or will be groomed by mid day today except a section of trail 5 which leads to the Canadian Border from Jct 455. This trail is open but should only be used if you feel confident in your ability to break trail. At this point the trail base is hardening well but is still fragile as the snow we received didn't have much water content so please take it easy and the trails will last longer for everyone. All trails to the north are listed in overall great condition, and to the south good to great.
