WARNING!

A groomer travels at an average speed of only 5-8 MPH.  Riders need to use "extreme caution" on the trails and always be on the lookout for groomers.  Many of the grooming machines are exceptionally wide and long, so you as the snowmobiler need to give the right-of-way, and always slow down when approaching a groomer.

Latest trail conditions during the season can be heard by calling the Pittsburg Ridge Runners Snowphone at: (603) 538-7437.

WEB CAM #1

This is a view out the front window at web central.  In the spring, summer and fall the camera shows a  neighbor's cabin and a small part of the First Connecticut Lake.  The camera is looking south from Stewart Young Road.

SpyCam1_00001.jpg (12303 bytes)

In the winter the camera is zoomed in on a snow depth gauge.  If you cant see the trees in the background it is snowing very heavily.  If you can't see the gauge, I am as close to heaven as I will ever get!

WEB CAM #2

The view is from Ramblewood Cabins & Campground.  The tall mountain in the background is Magalloway Mountain at 3,260 feet elevation.  You can also see a portion of the First Connecticut Lake just beyond the line of trees in the distance.  In the right  middle distance is a trail junction marker on trail 139.

If you can't see Magalloway Mountain but, you can see the lake it is snowing lightly.  If you can't see the lake it is snowing moderately.  If you can only see the evergreens and not the trees in the middle distance  it is snowing heavily.  You should also see some nice sunrises if you are up and on the computer that early.  At night if you see white blotches on the black background, those are snow flakes being lit by the outdoor lighting.

Club member John Recesso, Senior Account Manager for AXIS® Communications, helped us get the cameras for the club web site.  Web Cam #1 is an AXIS® Model 2420 and Web Cam #2 is an AXIS® Model 2120.  They have built-in web server, so they can upload pictures to this page without the need for a separate computer.  The club wants to thank John and his company for supplying them to the club at a very reasonable cost.

WEB CAM #3

The Image is Up Dated every 10 minutes during daylight hours.

WEB CAM #4

The Image is Up Dated every 10 minutes.

This web cam looks South over Lake Francis and the mountains beyond from A Path Less Traveled.
