Our trail conditions in the Burg range from very good to fair. Most of the trails north of Back Lake on the west & east sides of Route 3 have been groomed. In the high traffic areas the snow is thin but passable. There are some rocks and a few icy corners so use caution. Overall, the conditions are great. That’s what we’re hearing from our grooming crew and the folks that were riding this week. We received flurries all day Thursday and our forecast is showing 3″ to 6″ inches of snow for Saturday.
Trails not groomed due to lack of snow:
Trail 138, South Bay.
Trails south of Back Lake to Pittsburg Village. That may change with Saturday‘s storm. We’ve heard there is a blow down behind Spruce Cone on Trail 142 which you can get around. It will be removed as soon as possible.
The groomers will be out grooming every night this weekend keeping the trails in tip top condition for this 3 day Holiday Weekend.
The big lakes are not safe. Please stay off the big lakes.
The Pittsburg Ridge Runners Warming Hut opens this Saturday. Please stop by for some delicious soup, a “Hut” dog and a hot chocolate.
Come on up to snowmobile Pittsburg NH this weekend. You’ll be glad you did.
