Pittsburg Ridge Runners Trail Report for Tuesday December 29th, 2015

by | Dec 30, 2015 | Club News, Trail Reports, What We're Talking About

We finally got some snow in Pittsburg and it’s looking a lot more like winter. It appears that Pittsburg received between 5 to 8 inches of snow with this storm and it’s still snowing lightly.

We know that you are all anxious to get out there. If you do head out on the trails please take it slow and be aware of potential water bars and other hazards that may be in the trail.

Tomorrow, Wednesday the 30th, several groomer drivers will be assessing the trails for potential problems like blow downs and water bars. They will report back with a trail report. They will also be signing the Melvena Loop Trail as closed due to logging. Grooming will not start until we have more information.

We will keep you posted on trail conditions and trail closures as information comes to us.

NO LAKES ARE SAFE!

Back Lake is only skimmed over with some open water and Lake Francis and the Connecticut Lakes are open water.

Please be safe.

We wish you all a very Happy New Year.
